Previously, we spoke with Brother Jim Tidyman ’54 about his time in Beta Delta Chapter and his decision to pledge $8,500 toward the Ski Shack Campaign. Brother John Rood ’62 has also stepped up to the plate and pledged $6,500. When asked why he chose to make a pledge, he recalled how wonderful an experience Beta Delta was for him and how important it was for him to give back.

“I have been very fortunate in my professional life and I am able to do things for charities and organizations that have added to my life. Like I said, I had a fantastic run at Beta Delta Sigma Chi. I made good friends, I go back to the Homecomings and I’m going this year as well. It was just a wonderful experience.”

He encourages brothers who are financially capable to recall their own memories from the chapter and consider giving back to ensure that future members can create similar memories.
